Yeonhonpo is located in Onpyeong-ri (literally means gentle & peaceful village), Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do. According to the legend, this is a place that an envoy & three princesses of kingdom of Byeokrang arrived with cattle and ponies and seeds of five grains so that agriculture an farming started on Jeju Island.
Together with Samseonghyeol Shrine and Honinji, Yeonhonpo is a great place for tracing the origin of the founders of Jeju Island. Also on the left side of the monument, there are Chinese letters saying “Remains of Samseonghyeol legend”. As you can see in the pictures, you can enjoy the beautiful views along with the sea and Seongsan Sunrise Peak.
It was designated as Jeju monument no. 17 in 1972.
