*Gunsan Oreum ( Volcano ) : It is a volcanic cone that lies horizontally across the Changocheon Stream in front of Andeok-myeon Changcheon-ri, enveloping Nandeureu on its southern face. The road that branches off the west of Nandeureu follows this mountain’s western slope in a steep and curvy hill, which leads into a sedimentary layer of a valley to the south. The east half of this volcanic cone’s summit borders Seogwipo-si, with the west belonging to the Namjeju-gun region and borders Wollabong (Dorae Oreum Volcanic Cone) to the southwest. With two jagged boulders in the shape of dragons’ horns and oddly shaped stones formed from stratification, Gunsan Volcanic Cone is Jeju’s most sedimentary layered parasitic cone.
*Dragon Head Coast : It’s situated at the bottom of Sanbangsan Mountain. It was named so because it resembles a dragon jumping into the ocean with its head high. According to the legend, Qin Shi Huang, after hearing a rumor that a king would be born on Jeju island, sent Hojongdan, a geomancer, to block the Hyeol ( places of good spirits in geomancy ). Hojongdan came to Jeju island, looked at Dragon Head Coast and noticed that the Hyeol of Sanbangsan Mountain extended to the ocean where a dragon head faced the Pacific Ocean, as if it was about to go in that direction. Hojongdan cut the dragon’s tail and back with his sword. Dark red blood spurted and there were moans and cries for the discontinued legacy that the land would give birth to a king.
*Songaksan Mountain : It stands with its 99 peaks on the seacoast from where Gapado can be seen, to the north of Sanbangsan Mountain. On this mountain, also called 99 Peaks, the scenery of pine tree forests and horses grazing leisurely makes visitors feel peaceful as well. In addition, the wind from the ocean and the feel of the green grass on the mountain ridges is beyond your immagination. The mountain is about 100 meters high and is not difficult to climb, and the wide meadow and dard red volcanic ash on the nearby peaks are especially impressive.
*Alddreu Airfield : Alddreu Airfield also known as Jeju-do No. 2 (K-40) Air Base was a former Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service and United States Air Force(USAF) air base on southern Jeju Island. It was mostly returned to farm land from the late 1960’s onwards, though the site is still owned and used to some extent by the Republic of Korea Air Force, in particular a grass airstrip known semi-officially as Alddreu Airport.
