Halla Mountain Trail – Eoseungsaengak trail
It’s situated on the middle of Mt. Hallasan, Eoseungsaengak rises 1,169m above sea level. It takes approximately 30 minutes to climb to the top along its 1.3 km long trail.
The oruem (small volcanic cone) provides historical education and nature exploration becuase it has a relatively short trail and a well-preserved ecosystem as well as a tochka, one of the Japanese military installations used at the end of the Pacific War.
On a clear day, the oreum presents spectacular scenery with Seongsan Sunrise Peak to the east, Chagwido Island to the west and Chujado Island and small islands off the southern coast of the mainland far to the north, all coming into a wide view.
