Eco Land Theme Park is built in the 1km² Gotjawal (Got means forest and jawal means expression on the shape of rocks and thorn thicket bush entangled in Jeju dialect) primeval forest. Visitors can explore around in a train that looks like 1800s’ steam powered Baldwin train. The seven Baldwin train look-alike operated in the park were specially ordered and manually manufactured in UK. In the large Gotjawal forest with railway trails, visitors can see a variety of plants, animals, and insects living in the mysterious Gotjawal forests, while touring around by the special train. It also has a lake for visitors to experience the ecosystem of the forest, take a walk, and enjoy picnic.
There are four stops in the park such as Eco bridge station ( you can enjoy walking along with a lake on wood deck. ), Lake side station ( you can see an exotic scenery that lake and windmill are harmonized by using the geography where people used to breed horses), Picnic garden station ( you can enjoy a picnic on a wide open golden lawn grass and go short hiking to Gotjawal forest ), And Lavender, green tea & Rose garden station.
Besides of above those, there are many things to enjoy including Eco Bridge, Hovercraft, Eco Windmill, Picnic Garden, Kid’s Town, Eco Road, Bare Foot on Scoria, Floating Café, and topiary art works.
It takes about one and half hour to 2 hours to look around the park. Don’t forget to have deep breathes there as you can have very fresh air. 🙂
